Help us celebrate National Soil Conservation Week, April 18th - 24th, and give a middle school or high school classroom a chance to dig into soil science!
In 2019 the Churchill Northern Studies Centre received a Nutrients for Life Learning Grant to help spread the knowledge of their “Rocket Greens” program to schools in the Polar Bear capital of the world! They have now grown over 40,000 "Rocket Greens" providing community members, restaurants, and local grocery stores with subarctic greens. The ability to grow and provide nutritious greens for their community is truly an amazing story that needs to be shared.
Welcome back to the classroom! We have missed working with you and look forward to a great school year. We are working hard to provide some brand new resources and we will be providing live online events for teachers and classrooms.

As the school year wraps up, the staff at Nutrients for Life could never have imagined it would end like this. The past few months have been challenging and filled with so much uncertainty.
Support us through these challenging times. Help us win $20,000.
Your support will help more Canadian students learn how to garden. School gardens help educate about food production, food and water security and what it takes to feed the world from the soil up!
To celebrate Earth Day, we are mailing packages of bean seeds to families. This is an opportune time to spend some quality time outside, with your hands in the soil, planting and growing with your family! Gardening has many positive benefits, so give it try this year!
We miss being in the classrooms and attending events with great educators and students during this unprecedented time. We have been busy adapting our resources to make them easy to download and share with your fellow educators, parents, and students.
