Join us for a day of learning all about Nova Scotia Agriculture. It will be a full day of hands-on activities to bring agriculture, food, science, and engineering to incorporate into your classroom. Open to all grade levels. It promises to be a great day of learning complete with a farm tour
This is a partnership between Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture, Agriculture in the Classroom Nova Scotia, and Nutrients for Life Canada.
Lunch and snacks will be provided, please let us know of any dietary restrictions, including allergies.
Please advise if there are any mobility challenges so that we may accommodate.
Close toed shoes are required, and please dress appropriately for the weather as we will be in and out throughout the day.

Join our NFL Canada team at Kelburn Farms (1228 Kelburn Rd, Howden MB) for STAM (Science Teachers Association of Manitoba) and MTS (Manitoba Teacher's Society) for an engaging day on October 20th! The event will be from 9 AM until 3:30.
Grades 9-12
Join us for a full day, to walk through a ready to use series of lessons! This teaching package can be utilized in Grade 10 Social Studies and/or Grade 10 Science but could also be used for Global Issues, Agriculture or a Current Topics in Science course.
NFL Canada is hosting 8 High Schools with students from Australia and England attending!
The 3-day event will be jammed pack with great speakers, hands-on activities and tours!

Each day we will host a live event and have independent study. Participants in the seminar will receive a package with resource and materials needed for the workshop.
Using the Nutrients for Life Foundation resources, educators will learn the scientific reasoning behind soil, nutrients and sustainable practices used to grow enough food to feed the growing world population. Educators participating in the professional development will be provided the necessary knowledge, free resources and experience to take back to their classrooms with ready to go hands on inquiry-based lesson plans.

Over 600 students will visit 5 hands-on engaging stations to learn about everything agriculture as well as over 10 local agribusiness's showcasing the tremendous opportunities there are in Canadian agriculture! NFL Canada is hosting the event in partnership with Anglophone West School Division, AITC NB, New Brunswick Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries, and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada

Students from 4-H Ghana will share their experiences from participating in the 4R Champion program and how the program helped them grow and flourish!

-Dr. Samuel Njoroge, of African Plant Nutrition Institute will also be joining the sessions.
Students from Manitoba, United States and England joined the staff from NFL Canada and partners at Kelburn Farm for three jammed packed days focussing on Bioinnovation. Student teams of eight and two teachers had the opportunity to engage, provide enrichment and networking opportunities for participants on a global perspective.
The learning objectives of the program are to enable students and teachers to:
• Use science and technology to acquire new knowledge and solve problems
• Critically address science related issues
• Develop an increased awareness of novel technologies
• Practice teamwork
The program partners will offer their expertise and services to ensure that the program provides authentic and meaningful learning
experiences to guide in the development and presentation of the product, an ” Environmental Farm Plan – EFP”.
Thanks to our partners in providing such a learning opportunity for these students.
Program providers include: Richardson Pioneer, University of Manitoba Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences, U of M Glenlea Research Center, Kelburn Farm, Ducks Unlimited Canada, Manitoba Agriculture, Bayer Crop Science and the Bioscience Association of Manitoba.
Hundreds of students from Fort Richmond Collegiate joined the NFL team at Richardson's Kelburn Farm for three days in September. The students worked in teams and moved through 4 stations exploring Smart Agriculture. The students focused on 4R Nutrient Stewardship, Best Management Practices, Soil Testing, Sustainable Farming, watershed health.
