Our Manitoba team hosted three days (June 2,3 and 4, 2025) of field studies for high school students! Over 200 students from Winnipeg participated, rotating through five stations focused on sustainable agriculture, each lasting 40 minutes.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Richardson's Kelburn Farm for providing their facility, as well as to the staff of Manitoba Agriculture, Food, and Rural Initiatives for hosting two of the stations!
NFL Canada is proud to once again attend the STEM expo at the 2025 Canada Wide Science Fair. The event was held at the University of New Brunswick June 5th and 6th. To showcase the event to New Brunswick students, over 5,000 students were bussed in to see the best young scientists in Canada! At the NFL Canada booth, our Executive Director, Tamara, was ready to plant with visitors and talk about the importance of soil and plant nutrients!
We're super excited to share the 2025 School Garden Grant Recipients!
To celebrate 10 years of giving, all schools will be receiving $1000! Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to submit an application, and we wish we could support each and every school! There are so many worthy schools across Canada!
We look forward to working with these schools. They will be engaging their students in the science of food production.

Canada Wide Science Fair is coming to UNB this June!
Regional Manager, Tamara will be hosting a booth for the two-day event. Stop by and learn about the importance of plant and soil science!
We are sure she will have some fun and interactive activities for all visitors!
Regional Manager Kent, will be hosting a soil testing station at the event! Students will be learning how and why farmers test their soils for nutrients and how 4R Nutrient Stewardship can help farmers be productive and sustainable!
Tamara is excited to be headed to Fredericton NB to share our resources with NB teachers! Tamara will be highlighting all of our resources that make a perfect fit for the new Agriculture 110 program!
