The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
We all know that back to school is a great time to show off a new look. Well, it’s a new school year - and we’re excited to finally share a project we’ve been working on!
“Our goal is to leverage Nutrients for Life Foundation programming across Canada, and to simplify the process for teachers who are looking to engage students on the topics of soil science, food production and sustainability,” explains Dan Doyle, Managing Director of the Nutrients for Life Foundation. “This newly developed website is a definite step in the right direction.”
Together, we can help this generation of students realize the challenges of feeding a growing world by feeding their minds today with resources, such as:
- The Nourishing the Planet in the 21st Century curriculum is available online like never before! By selecting your area, you can choose from curriculum specific to each province across Canada. Each lesson explores the central issue of sustainability. Students will focus on the science of plant biology and how it is related to food production.
- Education is at the roots of understanding the living world around us. The Nutrients for Life Foundation provides online resources to help bring Learning Gardens to schools across Canada to help students explore and experience the science behind food production.
- In support of this programming, you can connect with a Teacher Ambassador through the new website to schedule a workshop or a lesson at your school, focused on bringing educational science-based materials on plant nutrients and agriculture into the classroom.
“The Nutrients for Life Foundation online model validates our mission to work in partnership and collaboration with industry stakeholders to meet and support Canada’s school-curriculum needs with science-based content of the highest quality,” says Catherine King, Director of Programs.
The newly updated Nutrients for Life website is now available for viewing online. Happy viewing!
