Our partners at Scotts Canada are pleased to announce a special edition of Gro for Good Grants for School Gardens in 2022. Applications are now being accepted until March 18, 2022.
Mississauga, ON (February 16, 2022) – Scotts Canada Limited proudly announces a special edition of the Gro for Good program in support of the Year of the Garden 2022. This one-time special edition will provide $1,000 grants to deserving schools. "The Year of the Garden presents an opportunity to spread the many benefits that gardens contribute to our physical and mental wellbeing by bringing more gardens to schools across Canada." says Karen Stephenson, Director, Regulatory Affairs & Stakeholder Relations for Scotts Canada.
This special edition aims, as a common objective of Scotts Canada and The Year of the Garden 2022 to create gardens in schools throughout Canada. The gardens will teach students how plants grow, where their food comes from while encouraging healthy eating habits. School gardens also provide active learning opportunities along with lessons in responsibility, group networking and the pleasure of getting your hands in soil!
Scotts Canada is pleased to be offering this one-time grant opportunity to Canadian schools in partnership with Communities in Bloom, Plant • Grow • Share a Row and Nutrients for Life. The School Garden grants are valued at $1,000 (in cash) and will be awarded to selected schools across Canada based on impact at the school and local community, student involvement and sustainability.
