About our Garden

Please describe your garden, is it raised beds, in the ground, do you have a greenhouse?

We have used the money to help support our hydroponics growing. More specifically we will be using the money to purchase TerraFibre Hemp Growing Cubes. The new product we will be using is hemp grown in Alberta and processed in Drayton Valley. The cubes are compostable and are sustainable. This is a Kratke System that involves soaking the grow cubes, putting seeds in, putting it on a heat mat until germination and then putting the cubes in the Kratke System until harvest. The cool thing about this system is that it is hands off once the cubes are put into the Kratke System. As the water goes down due to plant use and evaporation, the roots grow down and the system does not need to be refilled.

What vegetables/fruit do you grow in your garden? What do you have a difficult time growing in your school garden?

We are doing our first harvest of lettuce today and will be putting some kind of herb in there next week.”
