Please describe your garden, is it raised beds, in the ground, do you have a greenhouse?
Our garden took the form of an in-classroom aquaponics system, which includes a garden and aquarium, with fish, that help fertilize our plants. COVID restrictions and cohorts have put a hold on us sharing our garden with the school, however we are hoping that by the next school year we will have our aquarium set-up in a place where all students can access it.
Our plan is for our garden to take permanent residence in our school learning commons for all our student to see and enjoy. Unfortunately, because of COVID and cohorts we have not been able to visit and enjoy our learning commons like we normal would. Further, because we have been in and out of the school so much with isolations and grade level closures, we decided it was best to forego bringing fish into the school, for this year.
We hope that by next year we really get to give it the time and attention it deserves.
