Children built and planned a garden bed to be used in their own backyards. . The 14 children each went home with a 2'x3' cedar garden bed
What grade levels worked in the garden and did you or another teacher link some of your curriculum outcomes to the garden?
Students participated in gardening journal with Nutrients for Life curriculum in it, seeds and plant starts and knowledge to begin their gardening journeys.. Learning about companion planting, plants that keep bugs away, pollinators and composting/layering to fill the garden bed with nutrient dense soil.
